Volker met with editors and directors from several broadcast services at RFE/RL's central newsroom. He then visited the new offices of Radio Free Afghanistan and gave an interview to RFE/RL correspondent Abubakar Siddique.
Thank you for the remarkable and important work you do, and the risks you take in bringing free and open news reporting to people around the world.

The five-story, 236,000 sq/ft broadcast center features state-of-the-art multimedia infrastructure, recording studios, interlinking offices, and a modern newsroom. It is also energy-efficient and one of the most secure buildings in Europe.
