RFE/RL Correspondent Richard Solash has been invited to join the inaugural class of Eurasia Foundation’s "Young Professionals Network" -- a group of 32 individuals from a variety of backgrounds in the private sector, government, non-profits, media, academia, and the U.S. military working on issues involving the Eurasia region.
Solash has been reporting from Washington for RFE/RL since 2010. His reports offer a U.S. perspective on issues in our coverage area, including the protests over the Pussy Riot trial and the debate over the U.S. Congress's efforts to impose sanctions against Russian officials after the death of lawyer Sergei Magnitsky.
“Richard was an obvious choice,” says Melinda Haring, who manages the Young Professionals Network for Eurasia Foundation. “We are thrilled to have him participate in the inaugural class and I am certain that he will be one of its most active contributors.”
Solash says he regards his acceptance to the Young Professionals Network as, “a mark of recognition for the hard work I've put into my reporting and writing. I'm excited to take advantage of this opportunity."
