Covering Politics Noble, Compromising and Culinary in the Caucasus

Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili
A sex scandal, food fights, and engaging interviews with Georgia's top leadership. Welcome to another great week for RFE/RL's Caucasus reports.

# Georgian prosecutors are accusing former Defense Ministry officials of filming sex scenes involving public figures and of using the videos to blackmail them. The revelations, which have caused outrage in the Caucasus nation, could deal another blow to embattled President Mikheil Saakashvili. Correspondents Nino Kharadze and Claire Bigg have the details.

# During a visit to Armenia, Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili spoke to RFE/RL's Armenian Service about his country's commitment to the EU and NATO. He also discussed the prospects for reconciliation with Russia.

# In an exclusive interview with RFE/RL's Georgian Service and RFE/RL's "Ekho Kavkaza", Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze explains the Ivanishvili government's policy on European integration and relations with Russia, and responds to allegations that recent arrests of former government officials are evidence of "selective justice," not the rule of law.

# Not even breaking bread can escape politics. A food fight is under way in the Caucasus with a number of countries laying competing claims to the region's traditional dishes.
