MEDIA ADVISORY: Russia-wide Anticorruption Protests on Russia Day (June 12)


Unauthorised anti-corruption rally held in central Moscow, March 26, 2017

Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny has called for protests on Russia Day tomorrow (Monday, June 12) in Moscow and nationwide, that he and his supporters hope will build on momentum picked up during nationwide anticorruption protests on March 26 that drew unexpectedly large crowds, including large numbers of young people.

RFE/RL's Current Time and Russian Service journalists will provide live coverage of the protests, starting at 1:00PM Central European time (GMT+2; 7:00am Eastern time) on June 12.
