In the December 8, 2017 issue of the Ukrainian magazine "Novoye Vremya“ (“New Times”), Myhailo Tkatch, a correspondent for the award-winning RFE/RL Ukrainian Service program Schemes: Corruption in Details, was named one of Ukraine’s "People of the New Times" for his “high-profile investigations that cleanse Ukraine of corruption.” In 2015, Schemes author and host Natalia Sedletska was also honored as a “Person of the New Times,” in recognition of her and her team’s “high standard of honesty.”
On December 2, 2017 Schemes host Natalia Sedletska was honored with the Light of Justice award at a gala dinner at the Ukrainian Catholic University in Kyiv. As stated by award presenter and former OSCE spokesperson Michael Bociurkiw, “Time and time again [Sedletska] has demonstrated, through her probing investigative journalism, that even the most powerful figures in Ukrainian society are not immune from critical scrutiny. Corruption is endemic in Ukraine and Natalie has exposed many hidden schemes – often at great risk to herself.” With over 11 million viewers, Schemes: Corruption in Details is one of Ukrainian Public Television’s five most-watched programs.
