The coronavirus pandemic shows few signs of slowing down, and in recent days the number of cases has gone up in many countries in South Asia, including Pakistan and Afghanistan—countries that struggle with major public health challenges even under the best of circumstances.

The latest episode of The AfPak File, a podcast series jointly produced by the Wilson Center and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty focuses on the impacts of coronavirus in these two countries, and on the responses of the Afghan and Pakistani governments.

The panelists are Rateb Noori, Kabul chief editor for Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty’s Afghanistan Service, locally known as Radio Azadi; Diaa Hadid, Afghanistan and Pakistan correspondent for U.S. National Public Radio; Dr. Jia (a Pakistani doctor who preferred not to give her full name); and Michael Kugelman, Asia Program deputy director and senior associate for South Asia.

Muhammad Tahir, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty's Media Manager, moderates the discussion.
