ADVISORY: Russia’s Parliamentary Elections

People speak near electronic information screens at the headquarters of Russia's Central Election Commission in Moscow during the three-day parliamentary election (September 17, 2021)

The polls are open in Russia’s Parliamentary elections. Surveys show that a majority of Russians are dissatisfied with the work of the State Duma, or lower house of parliament, and the Putin government has used dirty tricks against opposition candidates, and cracked down on independent election observers, to maximize the ruling United Russia party’s chances of winning the election.

RFE/RL has gathered the best of its company-wide election coverage in this English-language portal, which includes versioned reports from its Russian Service and Tatar-Bashkir Service, as well as the 24/7 Russian-language digital network Current Time.
