Photojournalists Changing The Image Of Women In Armenia
Armenian photographer Anahit Hayrapetyian is a passionate believer in the power of photography to empower women. Along with fellow renowned Armenian photographers Nazik Armenakian and Anush Babajanian, she founded 4Plus, a women’s photography collective working to support women in the profession by organizing exhibitions, training, and workshops. The trio also want to change perceptions of women in Armenia in the way they are portrayed as the subject matter in photos. (All photos courtesy of 4Plus)
