The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), the US-based press monitoring group, has issued a "CPJ Risk List"
of the 10 countries where press freedom suffered the most in 2012 through "fatalities, impunity, imprisonment, censorship, restrictive laws, and exiled journalists."
The list includes Iran, Pakistan and Russia, all countries within RFE/RL's broadcast region.
CPJ's findings track with RFE/RL's annual incident report
documenting attacks against its journalists in 2012.
