Current Time TV Sizzle Reel

WASHINGTON -- Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) announces the appointment of Pavel Butorin as Acting Director of Current Time, the 24/7 TV and digital network for Russian-speakers led by RFE/RL in cooperation with Voice of America.

Butorin has worked with RFE/RL Central News and Multimedia teams since 2001, becoming Senior Producer and Managing Editor for Current Time TV during the project’s inception in 2014. In this latter role, Butorin was instrumental in managing Current Time’s rapid growth, and its transformation in February 2017 into an innovative and high-impact 24/7 television channel. A graduate of Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistic University with a Master’s degree in Mass Communications from Ohio University, Butorin brings expertise in platform development and communications in Russia, the U.S., and the Czech Republic to his new position.

Butorin replaces Daisy Sindelar, who was appointed Acting President of RFE/RL, Inc., effective December 7.
