In this recording from May 1968, RFE/RL's Georgian Service interviewed General Giorgi Kvinitadze, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Independent Republic of Georgia, two years before the General's death. During the time of the recording, General Giorgi Kvinitadze was 95 years old. The general talked about himself, his youth, Georgia's independence days, and about Georgia's national identity and belonging to Europe.
