Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty is looking for an IT Security Architect. Reporting to the IT Security Director, and closely cooperating with another IT Security Architect, the position will interact with the IT, Network, Broadcast Engineering, and other technology departments, and will be responsible for design and architecture of IT security aspects of various RFE/RL information systems and technology solutions as well as for checking that provided services are set up with high security standards. Additionally, the role will participate in reviewing current security measures, identify weaknesses, recommend enhancements, and contribute to the overall information security continuous monitoring program.
Your responsibilities:
- Play a vital role in designing IT security architecture and ensuring compliance with RFE/RL security policies.
- Review systems and processes, identify threats, and propose appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
- Stay updated with the latest security and privacy trends and standards.
Your profile:
- Experience in designing IT security solutions and measures within an organization.
- Knowledge of IT security principles, risk management, protocols, authentication, and security solutions and technologies in cloud and on-premises in general.
- Experience with cloud platforms and solutions such as Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in English with effective communication skills is essential and knowledge of Czech or other languages is a plus.
- A university degree in IT or a related technical field is preferred, and IT security relevant certifications are appreciated.

This is a locally recruited full-time position on a one-year assignment initially, with the possibility of extension for an open-ended contract after one year. The opportunity is open preferably to applicants with the legal right to work in the Czech Republic, who are expected to work in RFE/RL Prague’s office in a hybrid working model of a blend of in-office and remote work in the Czech Republic.

Appointment against this post is on a local basis only.
