What we do in the IT Department

We are a team of precise and reliable IT specialists who provide the information technology required to fulfill RFE/RL mission. Our main goal is to manage 170+ servers and a wide range of services to deliver desired user experience for 800+ users (1200+ computers) in our headquarters in Prague but from time to time we also help our colleagues in Washington D. C. and other 25 countries. After all, our work is not just about technology - we help people do their jobs.

Job Summary

Under a lead of Senior PS Functional Analyst, the ERP Administrator develops, maintains, and support the corporate ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system. Is responsible for its maintenance and development, including the installation of new systems updates, monitoring its performance metrics, resolving technical requests, providing users’ support, analysis of their requests, and makes proposals for their realization and implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Is responsible, with Senior PS Functional Analyst, for overall maintaining and developing the corporate ERP system.
  • Maintains, fixes and finetunes software components of the systems.
  • Monitors the performance of applications and systems and ensures its optimal performance.
  • Creates and maintains users’ accounts.
  • Provides support to the system users and resolves their issues with respect to the system.
  • Modifies and creates reports and queries.
  • Schedules and monitors batch and one-time processes.
  • Provides user support training for new applications/features and processes within the system.
  • Ensures data security and identifies potential security risks.
  • Analyses users’ requests, makes proposals, and implements them.
  • Conducts configurations and implements process based on users’ requests.
  • Collaborate with third party technical support to complete system upgrades and integration projects.
  • Assists end-users to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Maintains documentation (statistics, upgrades, patches, audits, log files, etc.)
  • Carries out system analysis, requirements gathering, and process reengineering to improve PS documentation and technical functionality.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • University or secondary - technical.

Work Experience:

  • Experience in the relevant technical discipline 3-5 years.
  • At least 1 year of functional PeopleSoft experience with core PeopleSoft HCM and Payroll module is a plus.
  • Ability to facilitate understanding of existing and new functionality, identification, and resolution for areas where business processes depart from delivered PeopleSoft solutions and to recommend best practices from experience.
  • Experience with all phases of ERP application development incl. requirements analysis, fit/gap, design, development, test, and deployment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of finance processes in an ERP system.

Competencies:

  • Knowledge of ERP systems, PeopleSoft is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of SQL, SSO, PowerShell, MS 365.
  • Database systems and data analysis (Kibana, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of support/help desk processes.
  • Knowledge of finance (accounting ledger, orders, accounts) is a plus.
  • Communication: Drafting ability, negotiating, and presentation skills to make for a trustworthy record keeping and information systems and to bring others to reach agreement on difficult issues.
  • Client Orientation: Ability to identify clients' needs and propose appropriate solutions as well as establish and maintain effective work relationships with outside collaborators.
  • Analytical thinking.
  • Independence, accountability, thoroughness.
  • Willingness to learn new things.
  • Team player.
  • Patience with users.

Languages:

  • Czech Language
  • Fluency in English.
  • Knowledge of another RFE/RL language is welcome.

Appointment against this post is on a local basis only. Please note that for the locally advertised positions preference will be given to those with a work permit and/or a valid residence status in the Czech Republic. Locally recruited employees should reside within commuting distance of Prague, Czech Republic, or be willing to move to take up work. Salary scales for locally recruited employees are based on the best prevailing local conditions. RFE/RL does, however, cover the costs of interview travel and, upon appointment, some relocation costs.
