We are looking for a responsible Project Manager, who will take on the management of key organization projects with the goal of delivering every project on time, within budget and within scope.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Successfully manage the relationship with all stakeholders.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Requirements:

  • Very good educational background or equivalent on the job experience, preferably in the fields of computer science or broadcast engineering.
  • Proven working experience in project management in the broadcast technology or information technology sector.
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner certification is a must.
  • SB-PMP (Project Management Professional) certification required.
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in broadcast technology
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • English fluency required, Czech language additionally is a plus.

Appointment against this post is on a local basis only. Locally recruited employees should reside within commuting distance of Prague, Czech Republic, or be willing to move to take up work. They are not eligible for allowances applicable to candidates who are internationally recruited. Rather, they receive statutory benefits as per Czech labor law. Salary scales for locally recruited employees are based on the best prevailing local conditions. RFE/RL does, however, cover the costs of interview travel and, upon appointment, some relocation costs.
